Australian Pink Diamond Investments is Australia’s largest and leading supplier of rare Argyle branded Pink diamonds.
APDI is owned and operated by the Leonard family. Their diamond origin started back in 1812 in Paris, France, where Craig Leonard’s great-great-grandfather was a prominent diamond craftsman. In 1854 he relocated his family to Piccadilly, London and opened Tessiers jewellers.
In the late 1920s Craig’s grandmother relocated to Newcastle, Australia and in 1932 she purchased our Darby Street building and opened for business.
Today, even after the closure of the Argyle mines, APDI remains Australia’s most prominent pink diamond supplier. By continuing to have a close collaboration with the remaining Authorised Argyle Partners we are able to guarantee our pink diamond inventory was handpicked from first selection allocations.
